Three Arsenal players absent from training ahead of UEL clash against Sporting Lisbon

Arsenal were without three players for their pre-Europa League training session.

That’s according to a recent report from journalist Charles Watts, who claims full-back Kieran Tierney and attacking duo Leandro Trossard and Eddie Nketiah all missed the Gunners’ most recent training session.

Trossard and Nketiah, according to Premier Injuries, are out with hip and ankle injuries, respectively but Tierney’s admission remains unknown.

Following the trio’s absence from training, it goes without saying that it is very unlikely any will feature in tomorrow’s Europa League Round of Last 16 first-leg away to Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.

With the Gunners prioritising the Premier League title after leading the rest of the chasing pack after 26 matches, Mikel Arteta will find it difficult to rotate his squad in Europe, especially with three first-team players set to be ruled out.

Thursday night’s Europa League match against Sporting Lisbon is set to kick off at 5.45 p.m (UK time) with the Gunners’ next Premier League clash scheduled for Sunday afternoon against Marco Silva’s Fulham.
