Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing the French international defender Benjamin Pavard at the end of the season.

A report from Fichajes claims that the 27-year-old Bayern Munich defender is one of the two defensive options Real Madrid are looking at. The RB Leipzig centre-back Josco Gvardiol is on the Spanish club’s radar as well.

Pavard has been a key player for Bayern Munich since joining the club and he could prove to be an impressive acquisition for Los Blancos. Dani Carvajal is in his twilight years and Real Madrid will have to find a quality alternative for him.

Pavard can operate as a right-back as well as a central defender and his versatility could make him an indispensable asset for Carlo Ancelotti.

The 27-year-old is quite impressive going forward and he can chip in with goals as well. Furthermore, he is an exceptional passer from the back and he would be the ideal fit for Real Madrid’s style of play. It will be interesting to see if the 27-year-old is keen on a move to La Liga at the end of the season.

Benjamin Pavard to Real Madrid?

He has already proven his quality in the German league and the opportunity to showcase its qualities in Spain could be an attractive option for him.

The World Cup winner has 6 goals across all competitions this season and he has a contract until the summer of 2024 with the German outfit.

The player will be entering the final 12 months of this contract in the summer and Bayern Munich could consider selling him if he does not sign an extension with them.
