Arsenal want aggressive 22-year-old valued at £80m that Barcelona love

Whether or not Arsenal go on to win this season’s Premier League title, Mikel Arteta will surely want to improve his squad in key positions should certain players become available.

More so if the Gunners agonisingly miss out to either Man City or Liverpool for the big prize.

With 13 games left to go in the 2023/24 campaign (12 for Liverpool), any of the three teams could be considered as potential winners.

The Reds lead the table on 60 points at this stage, but if City and Arsenal win their games in hand, then they will sit on 59 and 58 points respectively.

It’s already turning into a real battle royale, and whomever remains the most consistent from this point will take the spoils.

There’s certainly reasons to believe that this one could go right to the wire and we could well see another finish to sit alongside the Aguero and Michael Thomas moments.

Arsenal hoping to cash in on Everton’s woes

Across Merseyside, things are looking quite different for Everton, who face a very real threat of going down.

Even if the Toffees are able to stay up, cashing in on Amadou Onana is likely to be a priority even if the club would be loathe to lose their midfield powerhouse.

Amadou Onana is wanted by Arsenal but Everton have slapped an £80m price tag on the midfielder

The Sun suggest that Barcelona would want to rival Arsenal for Onana’s services, with Man United and Chelsea credited with an interest.

The outlet also suggest an asking price of £51m which would rule the Catalans out, however, TeamTalk note that Everton have, in fact, slapped an asking price of £80m on the player.

  1. Arsenal don’t need Onana now. Rice and Partey play the same roles with Onana and are better players. Let us see how we can get Samu Omodiron, who is on loan at Alaves, from Atletico Madrid. We also get David Odogu from Wolfsburg to deputise Saliba. These two purchases will not collectively cost more than 60m pounds i. That is the kind of investment we need in Summer, while retaining all our key players like Partey, Smith Rowe, Nketiah and Nelson. Arteta should modify his coaching techniques to include speedy attack at the front, as against Sheffield United where Nketiah scored a hat trick. Lack of bite cost us Porto game. Nketiah should be starting as our main striker with Martinelli at wide position and Smith Rowe below them.
