Mauricio Pochettino asks to be ‘treated in a fair way’ during Carabao Cup final

The Chelsea boss has asked that his side be treated fairly by the referee during their Carabao Cup final against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

After such an active summer transfer window, Chelsea fans would have had quietly optimistic hopes for their season but with 25 games played, they currently sit 10th in the Premier League table.

However, they still have a great opportunity to win silverware as they ready themselves for their Carabao Cup final against Liverpool on Sunday.

Although when comparing the sides’ league standings, Liverpool looks like the out-and-out favourites, Chelsea have had their best performances come against the top six sides so far this season.

Speaking ahead of the final, Mauricio Pochettino stated that he wanted to be ‘treated in a fair way’ on Sunday.

“I think we need to be sure we are going to compete and be fair in every single decision.” He said via TNT Sports.

“When we played at Anfield I think too many decisions, not one key decision was for us. Two penalties were not given. Duels, 50-50s, always for another colour. Always red. I want to be treated in a fair way.”

These two sides played at the end of last month, with Jurgen Klopp’s side dismantling the visitors 4-1 at Anfield.
