“Several European clubs” keeping tabs on Chelsea winger ahead of potential transfer

Several European clubs are reportedly keeping a close eye on the performances of young Chelsea winger Omari Hutchinson as he impresses on loan at Ipswich Town this season.

The 20-year-old looks to have made a good move for his career development this season as he impresses with his form in the Championship, and it could be that it will soon earn him a big move.

It’s not yet clear what the future holds for Hutchinson, but Fabrizio Romano has reported in the post below on X, formerly Twitter, that the young attacking midfielder is starting to attract interest from clubs across Europe…

Hutchinson could have it in him to come back to Chelsea and make an impact in their first-team, but one imagines the west London giants might also be tempted to cash in on interest in a homegrown player as it gives the club the opportunity to make pure profit on a player they didn’t have to pay to sign from someone else.

Still, it could also be risky for CFC to not make full use of their academy, which has produced some fine talents in recent times, some of whom are now shining elsewhere.

Hutchinson transfer exit a risk for Chelsea?

If Hutchinson does leave without getting much of a chance at Chelsea, fans might look at how things have gone for the likes of Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who have both shone at AC Milan this season despite not managing to establish themselves at Stamford Bridge.

Mason Mount also ended up leaving for a rival in the form of Manchester United, and though he’s had his injury troubles since moving to Old Trafford, he could become a key player for them once he gets back to full fitness and settles in at the club.

Fans always love to see academy players making it into the first-team, so it will be interesting to see if this loan move provides Hutchinson with the chance, or if it just leads to a permanent sale.
