Newcastle now considering Man Utd transfer ban after Ashworth update

With Manchester United keen on bringing Dan Ashworth to Old Trafford, Newcastle are reportedly considering putting a transfer clause in his contract that would stop any players making the switch to Manchester.

With Sir Jim Ratcliffe set to make some substantial changes behind the scenes at Old Trafford, fans are excited to see how this can translate to on-the-pitch success.

Sporting Director Omar Berrada has already made the move across Manchester from their bitter rivals with Ratcliffe eyeing up another potential deal.

It is no secret that the British billionaire sees Newcastle’s Ashworth as the perfect fit for the club as talks are reportedly underway between the two parties.

But according to a report from the Standard, the Magpies are ‘weighing up’  whether to insert a clause which will stop Newcastle players from moving to Old Trafford for a certain period of time.

With Eddie Howe’s side currently sitting in 10th place in the Premier League table and out of all other competitions, top sides could see this as a good opportunity to poach some of their players.

Bruno Guimaraes will be a top target for many sides with Manchester City the latest club to be linked with a move for the Brazilian international.
