Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood is expected to leave the club permanently at the end of the season.

According to the Telegraph, two Premier League clubs have enquired about the 22-year-old striker and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United are prepared to sell him to an English club.

The striker is currently on loan at Spanish club Getafe and he has been outstanding for them this season. Greenwood has 10 goals and six assists in all competitions and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for most clubs.

The striker does not have a future at Manchester United and he needs to leave the club permanently. He will be hoping to play regularly at this stage of his career, and the striker is unlikely to have any shortage of suitors given his performances this season.

Barcelona want Mason Greenwood

Getafe are thought to be keen on signing the player permanently, and they will face competition from Spanish giants Barcelona.

Barcelona need to bring in attacking reinforcements at the end of the season and the versatile Manchester United player could prove to be the ideal long-term acquisition for them. The 22-year-old is capable of leading the line for the Spanish club and he is equally good in the wide areas. Greenwood will add creativity and goals to the Barcelona attack.

The opportunity to join a big club like Barcelona will be quite tempting for the player as well.

Meanwhile, the report from Telegraph does not mention which two Premier League clubs have enquired about the striker recently. It remains to be seen whether they come forward with an official proposal in the coming weeks. Competing regularly in the Premier League will be an attractive option for the striker as well, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
