Even though Ramos appears to have brought in more than enough defensive players in the recent transfer window, another one slipped through the Spaniard’s grasp but may become a target in the summer.
AC Milan’s veteran defender Dario Simic’s agent Marko Naletilic stated “In January,
Milancoach Carlo Ancelotti stopped Simic from moving to England. There were offers from several British clubs, including Fulham, Everton and Tottenham.” (Tutto Mercato Web)
Simic is 32 so I am not sure of the wisdom in signing the Croat at the end of the season as clearly he would only be a short term solution. With the signings of Alan Hutton, Chris Gunter and Jonathan Woodgate in January it seems Simic’s chance of a move to north London have vanished, more likely a move to Fulham but only if they don’t get relegated which seems fairly likely to me!
