Avram Grant’s response to Didier Drogba’s brilliant double-goal match winning performance on Sunday was akin to a cantankerous old duffer being woken up too early in the morning. Drogba’s late double won Chelsea the game and Grant’s response after their 2-1 win, when asked about Drogba’s form, went something like “About bloody time!”
Perhaps Grant was grumpy because of the cacophony of boos and chants of “You don’t know what you’re doing” which greeted Grant’s late substitutions…
