Everton’s Moyes linked with a steaming pile of…
by Dexter on May 21st, 2008Russian side CSKA Moscow have a barrel-load of Brazilians at their club (six the last time I checked) and the press seem very confused about who exactly Everton boss David Moyes is after. The strong link over the past few days has been monosyllable maestro Jo with everyone from the Guardian to the local tramp with his shopping trolley tipping the player to move to Goodison.
It seems though, that the realization has finally hit all and sundry that a) Jo is valued at £18 million - a bit pricey for Everton and b) with only four proper midfielders on their books and Moyes’ love for the 4-5-1 formation, there isn’t much sense in blowing the majority of your transfer warchest on a striker.
Back to the drawing board for the rumour-mongers then, and now Moyes is being linked with CSKA’s Brazilian midfielder Dudu by none other than that font of footballing truth The Sun.

I did hear something about AJ going for some crazy number (£15m?) if I was offered that for AJ then spending an extra 3m does seem quite reasonable.
I am more worried about us spending money on someone who is good but then does not like the northwest and as such translates this into playing badly.
Is £20m a lot of money in the transfer window, surley if we are pushing up we need something like £40m. I think that there is more money than £20m for players but there is no point saying we have milions and milions of mula and then getting prices go through the roof.
