Tottenham to bid for amazing £24m pair: Great strike pairing!

Juande Ramos’ desire to fill his squad with real quality continues. After the addition of Luka Modric and Giovani in recent weeks, he now lines up a great strike pairing….

Tottenham are preparing a double swoop on Spain by buying £10m Argentine hitman Diego Milito from Zaragoza and Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy. (Daily Star)

Whilst neither Diego nor Ruud are spring chickens, they are experienced top-level strikers who are seemingly still very much still in the pomp. Argentine international Milito will certainly be looking to leave Zaragoza after they limped out of La Liga last term, and the former Man United finisher Van Nistelrooy seems apparently up for sale as his club don’t appear to consider the £14m-rated Dutchman as part of their immediate plans.

I would imagine that this pair are only in consideration should Dimitar Berbatov leave White Hart Lane, but even then do Spurs need both strikers? What do Spurs fans think Ramos should do if Berbatov leaves?
