Liverpool have reportedly rejected a number of bids for Raheem Sterling according to The Mirror.

The Anfield club are said to have received bids from a number of Championship sides to bring in the youngster on loan until the end of the season.

The likes of Leeds United, Cardiff City and Bolton Wanderers are all thought to have made contact with the club.

But Liverpool have firmly rejected the offers and have insisted they are keen to keep hold of the player.

Reports in recent weeks had suggested that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was open to the idea of Sterling completing the remainder of the season out on loan in the Championship.

Sterling has had an impressive debut season and was a regular in the Liverpool starting line-up in the early parts of the season.

The player has found himself on the bench in recent games though following a resurgence in the form of Stewart Downing and it was thought the player might be sent out on a temporary basis to provide him with more regular first-team experience.

Rodgers has firmly rejected the idea however, insisting Sterling still has a role to play in the final stages of the season.

The Liverpool boss is however prepared to listen to loan bids for young Spanish starlet, Suso.
