Spanish boss relaxed about top four finish.

Check in to Chelsea vs Manchester City

Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez has revealed that he is confident his side will secure a top four finish this season according to Sky Sports.

The Spanish boss saw his side overtake Tottenham to return to third place in the Premier League table after their 2-1 victory over Sunderland at the weekend.

They sit level with Spurs on goal difference although the White Hart Lane side have played a game extra.

The two teams go head to head next weekend in a match up that could prove decisive in the race for a Champions League qualification spot.

Benitez is preparing to rest a number of his side’s key players during the team’s Europa League match against Rubin Kazan later this week.

Chelsea are in a strong position to progress to the next round after a Fernando Torres brace helped the club on their way to a 3-1 first leg victory.

Benitez was taking nothing for granted though and warned his players against complacency.

The former Liverpool boss knows the game will not be easy with the temperature set to drop to minus five and the game being played on a synthetic pitch.

Benitez is keen to ensure his squad approach the game with the correct mentality.
