Arsenal And Liverpool Target Will Cost £15m

Manchester City are prepared to sell Micah Richards for £15million this summer.

Arsenal and Liverpool will have to cough up £15million to Manchester City for out-of-favour right-back Micah Richards, according to Goal.com.

The 24-year-old has found himself out of the picture at the Etihad Stadium this season after a lengthy injury, and has attracted interest from City’s Premier League rivals, as well as Serie A giants AC Milan.

With Argentine Pablo Zabaleta emerging as one of the best defenders in the Premier League in Richards’ absence, it seems a tall order for the former England international to force his way back into Roberto Mancini’s plans at the Etihad Stadium.

Arsenal are likely to be in need of a player in that position, as Bacary Sagna has refused to sign a new contract and is rumoured to be a target for big-spending PSG. Richards can also play in the centre of defence, and Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is said to be considering his options in that position this summer, with Swansea City’s Ashley Williams being strongly linked, while Martin Skrtel could be on the way out of Anfield.

Richards, however, maintains that his sole focus for now is getting into the Manchester City team and impressing the manager when he has a chance to do so.

He said: “It is going to be hard to get back in but you know what football is like, one minute you are in and the next you are out. When I am in I am going to have to take my chance.”
