Sky Sports are today reporting that Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski will sign for Bayern Munich according to the Polish international’s agent.

The 24 year old forward has been linked with a move to join the Allianz Arena side for some weeks, following team-mate Mario Gotze to the Bavarian side, but as yet no official comment on the sale has been released.

However Lewandowski’s agent Cezary Kucharski has insisted a move will take place, stating:

“Yes. Robert will join Bayern this summer.

“There is no point in pretending that he will not move to Bayern. Robert wants to leave and that is what will happen.

“It is a matter of time. It could be a done deal within a week or within two to three weeks. We are waiting for a signal from the club. We are working on this deal.

“Robert needs a new challenge. He needs other people around him, a new coach and new motivation. For us it is clear, but we have not signed anything.”

Lewandowski netted 36 goals in all competitions last term, including a memorable four goal haul against Real Madrid, but is set to become the latest big name player to leave Jurgen Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund squad.

Having lost the Bundesliga and Champions League crowns to Bayern Munich the Westfalenstadion side will be loathed to see their star striker join their arch rivals.
