Crystal Palace look set to end Peter Odemwingie’s West Brom nightmare by offering the Baggies £2.5 million for the want away striker, the Daily Mirror reports.

Eagles boss Ian Holloway wants to sign a proven Premier League goal scorer this summer to help with the clubs fight to stay in the Premier League this season and it looks like he has chosen Odemwingie as the man to add variety to his attack.

The striker has been out of favour at the Hawthorns following his attempts to leave the Baggies in the January transfer window.

Odemwingie turned up at QPR’s ground to try and force through a move to the Hoops before the two clubs had agreed a deal and the striker has since been placed on the bench at West Brom.

He has also been incredibility unpopular with fans and the Baggies are willing to sell him at a discounted price this summer just to get him off their books.

Holloway will hope that Odemwingie can score plenty of goals for the Eagles and also looks set to add Newcastle midfielder Dan Gosling to his squad this summer.
