Bernard- Atletico Mineiro to Liverpool or Arsenal
The Brazilian was one of the stars of the Confederations Cup this summer and has attracted a lot of interest from Premier League clubs through his performances for Brazil. Bernard is regarded as one of the best young midfielders in Brazil and reports suggest that he is keen to move to Europe like so many of his countrymen do. Liverpool are reportedly front-runners for his signature, with Brendan Rodgers desperate to sign a quality midfielder this summer as the Reds try and break into the Premier League’s top four.
Liverpool recently missed out on Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who decided to move to Borussia Dortmund instead of Liverpool and the club have now turned their attentions to Bernard. Reports suggest that the Reds are willing to meet Bernard’s £21.5 million release clause and are ready to make the Brazilian one of their highest paid players. Arsenal are also reportedly interested in the midfielder, with Arsene Wenger look to re-enforce his midfield for an assault on the Premier League trophy. Spurs were also thought to be interested but recently bought Paulinho and do not need another midfielder in their squad for next season.
