Crystal Palace new boy Florian Marange has hit out at the club over their ‘disgusting’ treatment of him following his free transfer from Bordeaux this summer, the Metro reports.

The 27-year-old was one of 16 new faces through the doors at Selhurst Park during the transfer window, but was left out of Ian Holloway’s 25-man squad list, meaning he will not be able to play first team football until January.

Palace also mistakenly used a picture of Marnage’s former Bordeaux team-mate Fernando when announcing his signing on the club’s official website.

“I am disgusted,” he told French newspaper L’Equipe.

“If I had known this rule, I would have a clause in my contract. But my advisor did not tell me. And now I am told that it is almost my fault.”

The former France under-21 international made his debut for the Eagles during their 2-1 defeat to Bristol City in the second round of the Capital One Cup last month, and he has insisted that he should not be judged on just one performance.

“We lost but I was not at fault for the two goals,’ he added. ‘I have only had seven or eight training sessions. How can you judge a player after 10 days?

“I have never been presented to the press, I have never had an official photo and I am still waiting for my club suit. I stayed for 15 days in a hotel before finding somewhere to live and the club told me I had to pick up the bill.

“It is true, I have a proper contract, I earn a little more than Bordeaux but living in London is ten times more expensive.

“And I came to play. Either I rip up my contract or I wait until the winter transfer window to find a club.”
