The highly rated Argentina international has recently lost his place up front with the Ligue 1 champions, with new PSG head coach Laurent Blanc instead preferring to utilise club captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic and prolific Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani in attack at the Parc des Princes.

And as a result, Lavezzi is understood to be so concerned about now also losing his place in the Argentina starting lineup at next summer’s World Cup finals, that the forward has asked his agent to secure him a move away from the French capital at the turn of the year.

However, Tottenham head coach Andre Villas-Boas will face stiff competition for the 27-year-old in January from not only the Premier League leaders, but also AC Milan and Inter Milan too, with  both Serie A giants said to be keen to bring Lavezzi back to Italy in the winter window.
