The 34-year-old is out of contract with the club at the end of the season and has been linked to a number of Premier League sides including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Spanish giants Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest, but he could still yet pen a new deal to stay with Juventus over the coming months.

“Andrea is special and always decisive. It is not only with his free kicks he is good, if he plays well the whole team improves,” he said.

“Andrea is a special player. I would advise him to try to play in the Premier League. It would be a sight to see him play in England.”
