The White Hart Lane side had been linked with efforts to include the 21 year old Bernabeu starlet as part of the deal that saw Gareth Bale move to join the Spanish giants over the summer and now Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is ready to loan out the youngster due to the form shown by Jese Rodgriguez, who is now seemingly the Italian’s first choice back-up for Karim Benzema.

Both Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado have disappointed since move to Tottenham in the summer and the club’s return of just 15 goals in 16 Premier League fixtures is threatening to derail the North London club’s push for that all important top four finish and as such chairman Daniel Levy will almost certainly look to strengthen in next month’s transfer window.

Morata has racked up just one La Liga start this season but does have two goals to his name and is considered one of the hottest prospects in Spanish football.

A move to Tottenham could aid Morata’s push for regular first team football which could in turn lead to a call-up to the senior Spanish national team set-up having proven a huge success with the Under 21 side for whom the Madrid born striker has scored 12 goals in 11 appearances.
