Chelsea Clear-Out: Six First Team Stars Set for Axe In Stamford Bridge Cull

Stamford Bridge side set for clear-out.

Check in to Arsenal vs Chelsea

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is ready to ruthlessly conduct a Stamford Bridge cull according to the Daily Mail.

As many as six Blues stars could be on their way out as the Portuguese manager looks to put his stamp on the squad he inherited in the summer and is perhaps all the more happy to make such changes after a shaky start to his second spell in charge of the West London club.

Mourinho is ready to offload bit-part players Demba Ba and Kevin de Bruyne as neither have convinced the former Real Madrid manager of their worth and with the team crashing out of the Capital One Cup away at Sunderland neither player are likely to figure all that regularly for the rest of the campaign.

Belgian Kevin de Bruyne will be keen to secure a move away in January to a club that can offer him regular first team football with the 2014 World Cup finals just around the corner. Demba Ba has failed to impress since moving to Chelsea in January with the former Newcastle United man scoring just three goals in 22 Premier League fixtures.

Nigerian battler John Obi Mikel may also be on his way out having started just five of Chelsea’s 16 Premier League fixtures this season.
