In what could potentially be one of the biggest transfers of the summer, Real Madrid have earmarked Juventus superstar Paul Pogba as a €60m target, according to Spanish publication Marca.
The Frenchman currently plies his trade for Juventus, where he is quickly establishing himself as one of the very best in the business. Alongside Arturo Vidal and Andrea Pirlo, Pogba had dominated the middle of the park in Serie A all season long, thanks to his immense physical presence and wonderful technical ability.
Despite being just 20-years-old, Pogba starts for the French national side already, and has scored six goals and registered seven assists in the Italian top flight this term.
As a result of his excellent form, Real Madrid could make a monumental bid for the man who left Manchester United as a trainee back in 2012.
According to the report, Real Madrid assistant manager and former Ballon D’or winner Zinedine Zidane has personally recommended Pogba to the club’s hierarchy.
If he were to join the Spanish giants, he could perform a deep-lying midfield role alongside Luka Modric and Xabi Alonso, potentially making Sami Khedira surplus to requirements.
