Man United are reportedly keen on Tottenham wide-man Aaron Lennon and are willing to offer bit-part player Javier Hernandez in exchange for the England man according to the Daily Express.

Old Trafford boss David Moyes will not have been impressed with the efforts of some of the wide-men he currently has in his squad with the likes of Ashley Young, Nani and Luis Antonio Valencia not offering a great deal in the final third this term, scoring just four goals and providing just three assists in Premier League action between them.

Moyes will apparently be handed a massive transfer war-chest but instead of using his reported £300m nest egg the Scot will offer 25 year old Mexican Chicharito in a swap deal that may just appeal to the White Hart Lane side.

26 year old Lennon cost Tottenham just £1m when he joined the club from Leeds United back in June 2005 and though he has at times been of great use there has always been a concern at the lack of goal threat the speed merchant possesses.

A move to Man United may well tempt Lennon and Tottenham could well do with strengthening their attack and as such would welcome Javier Hernandez, who is a prolific marksman when given the chance to make an impact.
