Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis will demand a £30m transfer war-chest this summer as he looks to continue his sterling work in charge of the south London club according to the Daily Mirror.

The pint sized Welshman has done an outstanding job in not only pulling the Eagles clear of the drop zone but guiding the Selhurst Park side safely into mid-table and now feels his squad could do with some strengthening when the transfer window re-opens.

Top of his wish-list is in-form Sunderland forward Connor Wickham, who’s run of five goals in three games have helped lift the Black Cats out of the drop zone.

If Sunderland do fail to avoid relegation then perhaps the former Ipswich Town man would be open to a move to Crystal Palace though one imagines that if the Stadium of Light side do stay up then he’ll be keen to remain at the club.

Pulis also wants Stoke City midfielder Steven N’Zonzi and a number of his first team playing staff could be set for a Crystal Palace exit with the likes of Barry Bannan, Dean Moxey, Aaron Wilbraham, Jose Campaña, Stephen Dobbie and Jimmy Kebe all said to be on their way out as part of a squad overhaul.
