Stamford Bridge side consider bringing in German to replace Brazilian.

Chelsea are said to be keen on landing Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos as a potential replacement for Brazilian Oscar according to the Metro.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho will join the race to sign the 24 year old German international as questions persist over Oscar’s Stamford Bridge future.

Oscar came in for a fair bit of criticism in the latter stages of last season and having seen fellow countryman David Luiz move to PSG the midfielder may well be even more open to a move away from the west London club.

Chelsea are willing to meet the £150k a week contract demands that Bayern Munich are seemingly unwilling to pay Kroos and Man United continue to track the talented box to box performer.

Kroos wants parity with top earners Franck Ribery, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Phillip Lahm a demand the Bundesiga side have resisted for some months and the Bayern Munich man now has just a year to run on his current contract and as such could be ready to consider offers for his services knowing his value will rapidly decrease once the summer transfer window slams shut.
