Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has claimed that Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas would be the perfect signing for the club this summer, according to talkSPORT.

The Reds have recently become the latest club linked with making an exciting £30m move for the 27-year-old after it emerged last week that the Spanish giants were willing to listen to offers for him over the upcoming transfer window.
And former Kop hero Fowler believes that his signing would suit Brendan Rodgers’ ambitions down to the ground should he be able to pull it off.
“Fabregas is a player I’ve always liked,” he told talkSPORT’s Breakfast show.
“When those kind of players become available you always want to sign them.
“Fabregas is a world recognised player and he would suit the Liverpool system.”
The former Arsenal man has been included in Spain’s final 23-man squad to travel to Brazil this month, but could see his future at club level come under some intense scrutiny as the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and now the Reds themselves all line up to take a closer look.
