Football Direct News claims that the White Hart Lane side are keen on Danny Welbeck whilst Italian source TuttoMercato report on the Premier League side’s ongoing interest in Mexican international Javier Hernandez.

With Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela failing to make an impact in their debut seasons and with Jermain Defoe moving to the MLS there is a good case for Spurs to consider moves to bring in both Old Trafford stars.

Neither is a first team regular, with Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie always likely to be ahead of the pair in the club’s pecking order, and with new manager Louis van Gaal likely to consider bringing in new additions both Welbeck and Chicharito would do well to consider a new challenge.

24 year old England man Welbeck had his most prolific season to date in 2013/14 but still only garnered 15 Premier League starts whilst Hernandez managed just six top tier starts.

The Guadalajara born ace is a prolific forward who has never really had the chance to prove himself at Man United but has still managed to net 59 goals in 152 appearances, of which 69 were from the bench.
