It was a bemusing day for Lampard who scored his first City goal against his former club.
Frank Lampard always seemed likely to be part of the narrative as his former club Chelsea traveled to Manchester City for a crucial top-of-the-table clash this afternoon – and so it proved as the former England midfielder came off the bench to clinch a late point for ten-man City with a crisp finish.
