Zabaleta “can’t believe” that Costa wasn’t sent off with him at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City right back Pablo Zabaleta has taken to Twitter to express his frustration with Chelsea striker Diego Costa, after an incident involving the two players during today’s 1-1 Premier League draw at the Etihad Stadium led to City’s Argentine right back being dismissed by referee Mike Dean.

Zabaleta took to Twitter after the game to apologise to the club’s supporters for his red card, but also to slam Costa – posting an image that appears to show the Blues’ centre forward with his hands around Zabaleta’s neck. Both players were booked for the clash, but for Zabaleta that meant a second yellow and trip down the tunnel.
I would like to apologise to everyone for my red card today.

However after seeing this image I can’t believe that Diego Costa remained on the pitch. pic.twitter.com/WwjyG9CXzx
