Ancelotti appears unconvinced about young Spaniard Isco and there is growing speculation over Cristiano Ronaldo’s long term future at the Bernabeu which has led to the Italian’s interest in the 22 year old Danish international.

Eriksen was arguably the most effective of the myriad of players Tottenham brought in following the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid last summer, netting ten goals and reaching double figures in assists to boot in his debut campaign at White Hart Lane.

The former Ajax man may well be tempted by a move to the Spanish capital with the La Liga side ready to make an offer for the attacking midfielder next summer.

The possibility of such a move would appear likely to increase if Mauricio Pochettino fails to secure a Champions League berth for next term.

Tottenham paid just £11m to land Eriksen last August though Real Madrid are ready to offer substantially more to acquire the flair player.

President Perez has brought in a number of youthful Galaticos of late including the acquisition of Colombian attacker James Rodriguez earlier this summer.

Real Madrid have successful raided Spurs to bring in the aforementioned Bale and Luka Modric in recent seasons.
