Virgin eventually confirmed that the trains were back up and running, but warned of serious delays on a number of routes.
The away end in particular could be extremely empty at Old Trafford if fans aren’t able to make it in time for the game, with supporters absolutely furious at their awful travel experience.
What difference will it make to league leaders Chelsea to be without their fans as they face an erratic United?
