With Manuel Pellegrini’s side looking somewhat short of quality options both in defence and upfront, it seems that the Chilean could be readying a £67m double raid to fix these problems after a difficult season of numorous injury problems.

City recently lost both Vincent Kompany and Sergio Aguero for lengthy spells, and with these two being among the team’s most important players, a rush into the transfer market looks inevitable.

The two players being lined up as replacements for these two are as follows:

1) Mats Hummels (Borussia Dortmund)

A world class defender also targeted by the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, it has been reported that City are lining up a £47m bid to sign Mats Hummels from Borussia Dortmund to improve their options at the back.
