Premier League giants chase record-breaking deal.
Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly set to battle it out for the signing of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba in a £70m deal, according to the Daily Express.
The French international has been linked with a whole host of top clubs in recent times after emerging as one of the best young players in the world with his immense displays in Serie A.
Pogba previously failed to make the grade at United earlier in his career, but his value has now risen to an incredible £70m as the Red Devils try to re-sign him next summer.
The 21-year-old is also wanted by Chelsea, and if he did move to England for that price he would become the most expensive signing of all time by a British club, eclipsing Angel Di Maria’s £59.7m move to Old Trafford from Real Madrid this summer.
Pogba may be something of a gamble for that price given his relative inexperience, though he does look to have the potential to become a great of his generation.
