The Scottish international’s time at Old Trafford looks to have come to an end, with his game time severely limited this season.

He hasn’t looked the same player since returning from a lengthy layoff, and no longer appears to be the required quality for a Manchester United side looking to change their fortunes.

Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal had admitted that the 30-year-old was in talks with the London club, but will now have to look for another suitor.

West Bromwich Albion are thought to be interested, with La Liga side Valencia also credited with an interest.
