The Uruguayan international is likely to leave PSG in the summer transfer window and has been made aware of interest from Arsene Wenger – who is desperate to improve his attacking options for next season.
With Alexis Sanchez proving a big hit since signing from Barcelona, Wenger wants another big name to partner him upfront as Danny Welbeck has not really delivered since making the move to the Emirates Stadium.
United have also been tracking Cavani, but it looks as though Arsenal are stepping up their interest in the player ahead of a summer move.
