Former Manchester United defender and skipper Nemanja Vidic is almost certain to leave Inter Milan following a disastrous first season with the Italian giants.

Vidic has made 17 appearances for Inter in his first campaign so far, but has struggled to get along with manager Mancini, with the pair falling out after the 3-3 draw against Celtic in the Europa League.

With the unconvincing performances of the Man United defence, who have failed to step up since the Serbian’s departure, a sensational return to Old Trafford would be welcomed – however, Louis van Gaal favours a move for Mats Hummels.
