Burnley striker Danny Ings has rejected David Moyes’ Real Sociedad after deciding he wants his future to lie with Liverpool.

The forward has netted nine times and grabbed four assists in 23 appearances for the Clarets, becoming a sought-after target for a number of Premier League outfits, including Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Reds were desperate to sign the Burnley no.10 in the January transfer window, but the club insisted he stayed until the end of the current campaign, putting any move on hold until the summer.

Ings will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season, however due to his age, a small compensation fee will be required – but it’s a fee Rodgers will have no qualms in paying.
