The experienced stopper has lost his place in the Chelsea starting line-up to youngster Thibaut Courtois this season and the BBC reported last week that the Czech Republic international was considering a move away at the end of the season.

It is understood that the Blues billionaire owner Roman Abramovich has a huge respect for the 32-year-old and will not stand in the way of the keeper who has made almost 500 appearances in his 11 year spell with the West London outfit.

This season Cech has appeared on just five occasions in the league but did keep goal in Chelsea’s 2-0 win against Tottenham in the Capital One cup final at the start of March, and has won every single major honour with the Londoners since arriving from French side Rennes in the summer of 2004.
