The 31-year-old has been out of favour under new manager Mauricio Pochettino, scoring just two goals in 12 appearances this season. This is despite a run of form under former boss Tim Sherwood towards the end of the last campaign. He was last in the starting XI on November 2, when Spurs beat Aston Villa 2-1 away from home. Adebayor last scored in their 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United at White Hart Lane.
During the Togo international’s time on the sidelines he has been earning £170,000 a week. £100,000 of which has been coming from his current club, and £70,000 from former team Manchester City. This means that since the match against the Villains he has pocketed an unbelievable £3.4 million.
Not bad work if you can get it!
