The Daily Mail claim that the big-spending side will look to beef up their home grown contingent with a host of England stars said to be on their summer wish-list.

Liverpool duo Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling have been targeted and Man City will look to battle Chelsea in pursuit of West Ham full-back Aaron Cresswell.

Their shopping list doesn’t end there with Manuel Pellegrini’s side also being keen on Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, who may struggle to force his way back into Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven following his return from injury, and Tottenham wide-man Danny Rose.

James Milner is likely to leave Man City this summer, the versatile England international’s contract set to expire in the summer, and having surrendered their title the club may well look to spend big.

Pellegrini may struggle to retain his managerial post, especially if the club fail to secure a top four finish, indeed the Guardian report on the possibility of Jurgen Klopp replacing the Chilean as Man City boss.
