The quartet are set to play in the Copa America, which starts in June, and as a result Blues manager Jose Mourinho seems keen to give them a break before the tournament, with burnout a growing problem in the game.

Striker Diego Costa has been struggling with hamstring problems this season, but the Portuguese seems set to keep him working over the summer according to the Daily Star. The extra work will apparently make sure that the former Atletico Madrid man doesn’t experience the same problems next time round.

The Stamford Bridge outfit are planning to play a game in Sydney on June 2. They are also set to take part in a match on the way in Asia in between that and their final Premier League game on May 24.

The squad will also have to be back in time to play in the European internationals that start on June 7. This hectic schedule could leave the players in danger of injuries after a long season.
