Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas had further reason to celebrate after securing his first Barclays Premier League medal on Sunday, as today is the former Arsenal playmaker’s 28th birthday and those on social media have taken the time to wish him many happy returns.

The Blues were 1-0 winners against London rivals Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, and that score-line was enough to clinch their fourth Premier League title and a first ever for Fabregas with three games remaining.

Jose Mourinho’s side are now 13 points clear ahead of second placed Manchester City, who had to relinquish their crown before their match against Tottenham at the weekend and 16 clear of the Gunners ahead of their game against Hull City.

The decision for Fabregas to join the West London outfit from Barcelona last summer has certainly been justified with League and Capital One Cup medals to his name this season meaning he has certainly had a special last 24 hours and has also received some nice messages from fans on Twitter:
