The midfielder has been linked to a move to the Nou Camp as a replacement for departing Camp Nou legend Xavi. The Catalan side are apparently willing to pay £50 million for the 24-year-old, who still has three years left on his contract at the Emirates.

In order to see if the former Cardiff star is good enough for them, the Blaugranas have scouted Ramsey ten times so far this season according to the Star. After his heroics in the 2013/14 campaign they may have been a little disappointed, with injuries holding the Wales international back. Even so, he still managed nine goals and seven assists in 39 appearances this time round.

Currently on international duty for a vitally important European Championships qualifier with Belgium, the centre-mid refused to comment when asked about the veracity of these rumours. However, there is no need for Gunners fans to worry yet, as he may well have just been trying to not get distracted before one of Wales’ biggest games in years.
