Thibaut Courtois – A brave choice by Jose Mourinho to make the young Belgian the new number one, but Courtois performed excellently and more than deserves the place in goal now. 8.5/10.
Petr Cech – Still a great goalkeeper, Cech may not have played as much this year but was solid as ever when called upon to start in Courtois’ absence. 7/10.
Branislav Ivanovic – One of the best right-backs in the world without a doubt, it was another great season for the Serbian, who was solid at the back and contributed some important goals. 8.5/10.
Cesar Azpilicueta – A rock-solid defender, the Spaniard may not be the most effective going forward, but he remains a key part of this Chelsea team. 8/10.
Filipe Luis – Brought in from Atletico Madrid, the Brazilian failed to replace Azpilicueta as first choice and contributed very little to the Blues’ great season. 5.5/10.
