As the England U21 side prepare to make their bow at the European Championships on Thursday evening against a much-fancied Portugal outfit, Arsenal defender Calum Chambers appears to be in a relaxed mood.

The Gunners man posted an image of himself and team-mate Jonathan Bond via his official Twitter account as they gear up for the Group B opener.

Italy and Sweden are the other two teams that make up the group and the Three Lions will be hoping to get off to the perfect start with a win against their Portuguese counterparts, that boast reported Arsenal target William Carvalho [via Mirror Sport] in their ranks.

Chambers is likely to be competing with Gunners team-mate Carl Jenkinson for the right-back spot, however, he could lose that  battle given his lack of game time in the last few months.

After appearing as a late substitute against Burnley in early April, the former Southampton man has not featured for the first team since and didn’t make the squad for the FA Cup final against Aston Villa last month.
