The Brazil international left the Ukrainian top flight to sign a five-year deal with the Rossoneri, committing to the San Siro until 2020.

The deal was confirmed by the club on their official Twitter account, and the new man will be tasked with trying to restore some of the fallen giants’ faded flory.

The Daily Mail have reported that Milan spend £6 million to bring the forward to Lombardy.

It had been reported that the forward had an agreement in place to join Qatari side Al Ahli, according to ESPN, with the Dubai side even going as far as to announce the deal on their official website.

However, it appears as though the frontman has turned his back on the proposed move and will not be moving to the Middle East after all.

The Express noted that both Arsenal and Liverpool were understood to be keen on Adriano.

The attacker, who scored nine goals in last year’s Champions League, enjoyed a successful spell in Ukraine, winning the top flight six times, lifting the Ukrainian Cup on four occasions and also playing his part in the 2009 UEFA Cup triumph.

Arsenal and Liverpool also look set to miss out on Carlos Bacca, with the Sevilla man set for a move to Milan after the Rossoneri activated his £21 million release clause [BBC].

The Express reported that the Gunners, the Reds and Manchester United were all interested in the Colombia hitman.
