Manchester United plotting SHOCK move for Real Madrid HERO to replace departing star

Manchester United are eyeing a shock move for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo to replace Angel Di Maria, reports the Daily Star.

The United man has failed to settle in England, and could be set to move to PSG. If the 27-year-old does depart then a surprise return to Old Trafford could be on the cards for Ronaldo. Both players feature in similar roles, and the Madrid man could even be an upgrade on their current player. Although he is three years older, meaning he isn’t a long term option.

The player could even be available, having described new Bernabeu boss Rafael Benitez’s training regime as s*** [Daily Mail]. Clearly unhappy with the current situation at Los Merengues, the Portuguese could be enticed by a return to the team who he made his name with.

Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 games for the Red Devils before joining Los Blancos, but has improved again with the Spanish giants. In 300 matches he has netted 313 times for Real, picking up two Ballon d’Ors on the way. It would be a major coup for United if they could sign him, and would immediately make them title challengers.
