Man City willing to wait until January for £80m rated Chelsea target

Man City retain an interest in Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba but are willing to wait until January to land the Serie A star according to the Daily Star.

The 22-year-old French international played a key role in helping his Turin based side to a fourth successive Serie A title as well as helping Juventus to a Champions League final and is also said to be a Chelsea target (via The Guardian).

Juventus have experienced a hectic summer with boss Massimiliano Allegri seeing a number of his top talents with first-team regulars Carlos Tevez and Arturo Vidal leaving for Boca Juniors and Bayern Munich respectively.

The Daily Star claim Juventus want £80m for the former Man United man and state that the Italian side have turned down a £60m offer from Nou Camp side Barcelona, who defeated Allegri’s side in the Champions League final in May.

Manuel Pellegrini has a fair few central midfield options at his disposal with the likes of Yaya Toure, Fernandinho, Fernando and new signing Fabian Delph available to the Chilean.

Pogba is rightly considered one of the best young talents in world football, a player with great potential who is already one of the best in the business.

Juventus have tied down Paul Pogba to a long term contract with the rangy midfielder penning a new deal last October (via the Daily Mail) which runs until 2019.
