Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero conceded his first goals in the Barclays Premier League against Swansea City on Sunday afternoon and his error for Bafetimbi Gomis’ winner has been a major talking point on social media.
The Argentinian goalkeeper has been given a run in the side due to the transfer speculation surrounding David De Gea’s future at the club and had kept three successive clean sheets up until the game at the Liberty Stadium.
With reports in the media over the weekend suggesting the Spaniard could complete his much-anticipated transfer to Liga BBVA giants Real Madrid on Monday, Romero could retain his place in between the sticks for the remainder of the season if manager Louis van Gaal opts to not sign another stopper.

Ouch! This Man Utd fan will regret getting HIM printed on the back of his shirt!
However, Romero’s part in conceding the second goal against the Swans has triggered a strong reaction on Twitter, as a selection of United supporters were clearly unimpressed.
Sergio Romero is a good keeper, but David de Gea could have done better in the two Swansea goals.

Who knew that one day Victor Valdes and David de Gea would be sub goalkeepers to Sergio Romero?
— Abdulmohsen AlAngari (@AAlangari) August 30, 2015
the early results clearly flattered Sergio Romero. de Gea stops Gomis there every day of the week.
